OPGW optical cable

It is mainly used on 500kV, 220kV, 110kV voltage grade lines, affected by power outage, safety and other factors, and is mostly used on new lines.

OPGW application features:

1. High voltage more than 110kV line, the file distance is large (generally above 250M);

2. Easy to maintain, easy to solve the problem of line crossing, its mechanical characteristics can meet the line crossing;

3. The outer layer of OPGW is metal-armoured, which has no effect on high voltage corrosion and degradation;

4. OPGW must be power off during construction, the power loss is large, so OPGW should be used in the new 110kV high voltage line;

5. OPGW performance indicators, the greater the short-circuit current, the more need to use a good conductor for armor, the corresponding reduction in tensile strength, and in the case of a certain tensile strength, to improve the short-circuit current capacity, only increase the metalA cross-sectional area, resulting in an increase in cable diameter and cable weight, which raises safety issues for the strength of the line tower.

6. Function and use: it is hung above the transmission line ground wire, both play the role of ground wire, but also can transmit communication signals. It is suitable for long communication distances, such as cross-city, cross-province communication. In addition, OPGW cable can also be used for lightning protection and grounding protection to ensure the safe operation of the power system.

ADSS optical cable

It is widely used on 220kV, 110kV, 35kV voltage class transmission lines, especially on built lines. It can meet the requirements of large span and large sag of power transmission lines. The standard ADSS design is up to 144 cores. Its characteristics:

1. The theoretical value of fiber tension in ADSS is zero;

2. ADSS cable is fully insulated structure, installation and line maintenance can be live operation, which can greatly reduce power loss;

3. The expansion rate of ADSS can remain unchanged in the range of large temperature differences, and it has stable optical characteristics at the limit temperature;

4. Electric corrosion resistance ADSS cable can reduce the high voltage induction electric field on the cable electrical corrosion;

5. ADSS cable diameter is small, light weight, can reduce the impact of ice and wind on the cable, its impact on the tower strength is also small;

6. ADSS uses new materials and smooth shape design, so that it has superior aerodynamic characteristics.

7. Functions and uses: mainly used for data, voice and video communication, suitable for short communication distance occasions, such as factories, campuses, communities and so on. It has no metal, tension resistance, self-bearing, high insulation, non-induction, and has the characteristics of thin diameter, light, easy construction and economy.
